# My Story

I was born in 1998 (currently 25 years old) and raised in the outskirts of Prague, living in one of the brutalist Soviet apartments. Growing up in Eastern Europe as an Asian in the 90s was a struggle since Slavic people, especially Ukrainians, and Russians, were narrow-minded and intolerant of other exotic cultures. My family came from Vietnam, and the reason they came here is for work and studies. My mom and dad met each other and decided to settle in Prague since the quality of life back then was higher than in Vietnam. However, they struggled with a language barrier. Thus, I've been their translator from childhood to my late teens.

Growing up, I had always had an interest in technology. For example, I was interested in the electronics inside when observing toys. My first exposure to programming and AI started with me developing a game inspired by *Super Mario Bros*. I was excited to see my ideas coming to life! Therefore, I decided to pursue this passion more by enrolling to elective informatics courses in high school. Here I learnt about object-oriented programming in C# and data structures. Little did I know that this set my stage to my academic journey to study Computer Science and Engineering at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft).

At TU Delft, the CSE program had a comprehensive study structure, industrial involvement, and solid academic presence. I am happy with my choice of studying at TU Delft.
